FGS Global
Brand Identity
FGS Global is a quiet powerhouse — one of the world's leading strategic advisory firms, standing beside the world's most influential leaders at their most consequential moments. After significant growth through acquisition, they approached us to build a brand the entire firm could rally behind.

One firm. One story. Built for a complex world.

FGS has built its business providing strategic advisory to the leaders of the world's most influential organizations, so the identity had to carry the same gravitas and authority the firm carries into the room. We drew the logotype from a sans-serif with subtle flares, balancing heritage with contemporary restraint. The identity feels architectural, as though it could be carved into a building facade. A single decisive oval, taken from the center of the O in Global, ties the wordmark together and becomes the monogram: a seal that gives FGS a standalone presence. Anchored in Evergreen, a deep forest green, the system reads as considered, established, and quietly premium.

Access. Connection. Perspective.

At its core, FGS is a people business. Based upon the oval in the logo, three graphic elements illustrate what makes FGS' offer unique: each of these moves can be utilized for novelty and complexity across layouts. "Access" represents FGS as the single point of entry and trusted relationship that opens doors. "Connection" represents connected expertise and FGS's thread between people, organizations, and systems. "Perspective" represents FGS's ability to frame clarity in complexity.

Flexibility across Timezones and Touchpoints.

With more than 1,500 professionals across 31 offices, FGS needed a system that could flex without fragmenting. We built a visual language around a few key moves: a defined hierarchy, a restrained palette, and a library of patterns and ready-made templates that give every team a head start. The system scales from a business card to a policy newsletter to a global campaign, holding together whether the layout is image-rich or purely typographic. FGS shows up consistently and confidently, everywhere.

Moving Minds and Markets

At the center of the FGS identity sits one idea: FGS helps the world's most influential leaders move minds and markets. We translated it into a brand voice and messaging framework that could bring consistency across their communications and help simplify the narrative through-line of their offerings. The voice was designed to elevate the brand and bring distinction to a complex and ever-growing portfolio of offerings.

A Modern System That Scales

The FGS identity flexes across contexts while holding its authority. The oval at the center of Global becomes a monogram, a seal, a framing device — each variation carrying the same weight and recognition. A full lockup for formal communications. A standalone monogram where the brand needs to be felt, not explained. A seal for moments that call for gravitas. Together they give FGS a system of marks that work as one identity, adaptable enough for a business card, a conference, or a global campaign, and distinctive enough to be recognized at a glance.
